United To Add Washington – Doha Service in May

United Continental Holdings, Inc. has announced that United Airlines will launch daily service between its Washington/Dulles hub and Doha, Qatar, via Dubai, effective May 1, 2012, subject to government approval. Doha will be the fourth city in the Gulf region that United serves from Washington/Dulles, in addition to Dubai, Kuwait City and Bahrain. The airline serves more destinations in the Gulf region and Middle East than any other U.S. carrier.

The schedule of the new daily service will be as follows (all times local):

Washington/Dulles-Dubai UA 976 6:22 PM 3:35 PM (following day)
Dubai – Doha UA 976 5:10 PM 5:15 PM
Doha – Dubai UA 977 8:20 PM 10:25 PM
Dubai – Washington/Dulles UA 977 12:10 AM 6:32 AM

United will operate the new service with Boeing 777 aircraft, with a total of 269 seats - eight in United First, 40 in United Business and 221 in United Economy, including 104 Economy Plus seats with added legroom. The flights will feature lie-flat seats in United First and United Business, and more than 150 hours of on-demand entertainment on 15.4-inch personal monitors and world-class cuisine with United's exclusive menu options.
